Except PTh and P3MT, the as-synthesised polymers exhibit both solution and melting processability. Chemical and physical properties of the polymers were characterized by using structural, spectroscopic and thermal analysis. X-ray diffraction study confirmed a layered structure, in which the main chains are stacked on top of each other, forming parallel planes.
