Description
Summary:Singapore has established herself to be a city of opportunities; allowing her people to enjoy a recurring quality of life. While this statement holds true for a notable number of people, it remains a contentious subject as it potentially divides a diversified population as low-income earners grapple with the rising cost of living. This study aims to uncover the quality of life of older adults residing in public rental housing from their perspectives. Using questions adapted from the World Health Organization’s Quality of Life assessment, 15 older adults residing in the precinct of Chinatown were individually interviewed to gather information on the lives they lead. The findings revealed a satisfactory quality of life despite the presence of adversities in their daily lives.
