Description
Summary:A beam is always under stresses when in use, it is important to calculate the stresses to know the limiting load. In this report, we will be discussing and computing the normal stress in a beam. The objective of this report is to create an interactive software to implement normal stress analysis of beams and at the same time, help students understand the concepts better. It is a supplemental tool to assist students in their studies. The application is widely available, easy to use and navigate. The application computes the maximum bending moment in the beam and then calculate the normal stress regardless of statically determinate or indeterminate problems. Students should be able to select 3 different loads and 3 different supports. The software chosen for this project is mobile cross-platform framework, flutter using dart as its main programming language. Students will be able to access the software using their smartphones easily. A beam is always under stresses when in use, it is important to calculate the stresses to know the limiting load.
