Next it provides real-world examples of these smartphone-centric robot. The objective of the Repot is to firstly, develop the building blocks required to transform a smartphone into a smartphone-centric robot and secondly, to provide an example application. The Report then establishes the project requirements for a prototype design to be developed. Next, the Report provides an overview of common smartphone sensors and proposes a prototype design to demonstrate the example application. The Report also provides details of any required materials, explain how each material will work together and presents a setup of the prototype. The Report also contains the prototype’s software development aspect and describes the relevant actuation and fabrication methods needed. The Report then discusses and analyses the building blocks present in the prototype and determines the general building blocks needed to develop general smartphone-centric robots. The Report also suggests a potential commercial application for the prototype, discusses the limitations of this project and concludes by suggesting relevant future areas of research.
