Summary: | Final Year Project (FYP) is a compulsory module that is required to be completed by all the students from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) in Nanyang Technological University. Every student is assigned with a project and a supervisor who is one of the faculty staff from SCSE. Each student is required to complete the assigned project in two semesters and will then be assessed at the end of final semester. The assessment will be conducted by the student’s supervisor and a FYP examiner who is allocated by the Examiner Allocation System (FEAS).
The FEAS was first built in 2007 with the purpose of reducing mundane manual work of assigning examiner duties, timeslot and examination room which the FYP coordinator must go through every semester. With the improvement made and the features that were implemented by the seniors, FEAS have helped to reduce the FYP coordinator’s workload tremendously. However, there are still some improvements needed to be made on the user interface of the current FEAS.
Hence, FYP Examiner Allocation System Improvement Part 1 is proposed in order to improve and enhance the user interface so that it can provide better user experience. |
