Description
Summary:The refugee crisis in Europe is ongoing, and as refugees arrive, they will need to be integrated into their host country. This paper seeks to find out to what extent do refugee preferences inform country-level refugee integration policies by matching refugee preferences to various policy areas. Through a comparative analysis of refugee integration policies in 8 European Union (EU) member states, it is found that design orientations of different refugee integration policy areas and their effectiveness at the country-level vary. Countries may thus adopt and adapt best practices in refugee integration policy design from one another.
