Summary: | Zeolitic Imidazole Frameworks (ZIFs) are widely researched in the current world. It is widely regarded as a promising material for different applications. As compared to the metal-organic framework, ZIFs show better stability. Hence in this report, a study on controlling the ratio of the dopant, ZIF-67 on ZIF-8 was researched in this paper. ZIF crystal was produced via ultrasound-assisted synthesis at 42KHz at controlled room temperature. Different weight ratios of the metal salts and two methodologies were used in this paper. The organic linker used was 2-methylimidazole. No nucleation aid is used in this method. FESEM/SEM, EDX, XRD, UV-Vis, FTIR equipment were used to characterize the ZIF. It was shown that with the improvised method, the resulting doping ratio of cobalt ion is getting promise. |
