Summary: | Due to the increase of the intelligence thieves, security systems in the industry are often being breached. There is always a need to invent a new method that provides highly proper security to the industry and anywhere else. The use of innovative biometric technology will improve security to a great extent. However, security systems that utilize biometrics identification are too expensive to install in every industry. This project aims to design a low cost and highly secured door security access system for the industry with the use of Raspberry Pi 3. The Raspberry Pi 3 will be used together with the Pi Camera and sensors to implement the four biometric authentication features, including RFID, face recognition, fingerprint recognition, and OTP authentication. Each authentication feature would be further discussed in detail. Besides, a user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) was implemented to provide the adjustable authentication feature selection for the door access system. Users can register their biometric data for the biometric authentication in the GUI. With an added email alert feature, the system can provide real-time information for the user. |
