Summary: | People who are far-sighted or near-sighted have to wear correction lens to see their surroundings. The vision correction project, known as Eyefyx, aims to provide clear vision to the user on their mobile devices without the need of such correction lens. However, the software component of the project requires the position of the user’s eye to be fully functional. Therefore an eye tracking system is needed to obtain the parameter. Eye tracking in this project refers to finding the centre position of the user’s eyes. To suit the purpose of the Eyefyx project, the eye tracker is built in the android phone and will only require the camera to run. This paper details the development and result of the mobile eye tracker application using OpenCV and Dlib software libraries in different programming languages, as well as summarises the challenges and future opportunities on improving the developed Eye tracking application. |
