Recent budgeting/banking applications either require users to manually input their data or are limited to a certain bank. This project aims to develop an iOS Mobile Application to help users have an easier and more convenient way of managing their finances. This application uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) which translates images/documents into text for users to keep track of their spending or even use for further computation when needed instead of having to key in data manually. The application was developed using Swift in Xcode and has used technologies such as Firebase and Tesseract OCR. Users can scan or upload their receipts or statements and the application will convert them into text. This would make the budgeting process faster and easier for the users. For future work, considerations like data analysis on the documents or an android version could be developed.
