The early symptoms of COVID-19 patients are similar to those with fever or cough, which is challengingto identify and respond. The standardindustry practice is to check if any fever detected for public areas with a mass population like offices, industrialparks, shopping malls, airports and ferry terminal.Considering the safe distance guidelines and protectingsecurity guards, handheld thermometers are not advised to use at public areas mentioned above. Therefore, a call for innovated solutions to identify people with fever is initialised. With the help of development in thermal imaging, a kiosk prototype is built to read human temperature, without human operator behind automatically. This report serves the purpose of recording how the unmanned temperature kiosk is constructed, the problems encountered, the solutions implemented and the outcome.
