The Physics study often having a disengagement, when the high-level mathematical form is used to solve the physical problem, that creates the learning to be the focus on the tedious process of solving the physical system, without understanding the physical phenomenon during the mathematical solving
Computer simulation and programming become a method to solve the high complexity of the physical system, which assist the confirmation of the intuition of the physical system into visualization and from the results of the simulation, mathematical intuition able to be produced as the solution of the physical system. This Final Year Project is implementing the computer software, called COMSOL Multiphysics, to study the solutions of 3 physical systems of Electrical Potential, Thermal Conduction and Mechanical Vibration on Squircles Plates
Squircle Plates is the 2D shape transformation from the square to circles. The study on each section solving the extreme cases of Squircle Plates, which is square and circles analytically, the simulation is created to match the analytical results and additional simulation on 3 intermediate shape transition on each physical systems, with the discussion and analysis on each physical systems conducted based on the trend. The general discussion is created at the end, to sum up, the discussion, and the future research potential of advanced geometrical analysis called squircles with the trend from the electric potential and thermal conductivity |
