Summary: | This report focuses on developing graphical user interface (GUI) to achieve a graphical and interactive method of learning for a core module, EE2010 Signals and Systems in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). This project aims to illustrate on the fundamental understanding of EE2010 Signals and Systems by implementing graphical user interface (GUI). This is to strengthen the fundamental concepts such as convolution, correlation, and amplitude modulation, etc. The implementation of this project will be done using a two-pronged approach, where Microsoft PowerPoint will be used in tandem with MATLAB. With the help of Microsoft PowerPoint, animated videos will be developed to give a clearer and more detailed illustration on the examples of discrete-time and continuous-time convolution that can be found in EE2010 lecture notes. MATLAB will then be used to complement these animated videos through its application in the GUI development aspects of this project. The rationale for using MATLAB is due to the availability of a wide range of engineering functions for GUI development, rendering it well suited to create interactive GUIs to allow the students to better understand the concepts in Signal and Systems that are more difficult to explain using only mathematical methods. |
