Description
Summary:“Silent Conversations” revolves around my struggle with one of the six pillars of faith in Islam – Qada' and Qadar (fate, destiny, preordainment). Total or even just partial rejection of any one pillar indicates a Muslim straying from the true path. The process in creating this final work has led me to accepting my mother’s fate and by extension, reconnecting with God. In reconciling the concepts of predestination and free will, my work depicts my silent but emotionally charged conversations with Him within an intimate space of contemplation and transcendence. Keywords: God, Islam, faith, fate, destiny, preordainment, predestination, free will, struggle.
