RFID technologies provides cheap and reliable solution for tracking of items and devices. Many researchers have explored the possibilities in tracking wildlife since it generates lower cost of operation and RFID tags can be embedded safely in wildlife without the fear harming them. One of the applications of wildlife RFID tracking is seed dispersion by animals. Due to different animals’ behaviour, tracking the seeds dispersion which the animals ate may help to identify several important animals’ behaviour which promotes healthy ecosystems. This research report will be testing the capabilities and viability of RFID technologies for seed dispersion. It involved in testing different RFID tags with different readers and antennas to find out the factors in achieving best read range.
