Description
Summary:Energy demand surge as the population in the world increases. Today, most of the electricity is generated by burning coal, oil and natural gas. This method is not sustainable as there are limited fossil fuels. Also, burning fossil fuel will have negative impact on the Earth such as global warming. The alternative solution is renewable energy. Energy storage system is used to store the renewable energy. Lithium-ion plays a big part in the energy storage system as it is the device used to store the energy. It can be dangerous if it is not properly managed. Therefore, battery management system incorporates with the energy storage system to ensure the user to be safe when it is operating and prolong the battery shelf life.
