Engineers utilize FEA to dwindle the amount of mock-ups & trial runs and to improve parts in their design stage to produce improved parts in a shorter time. FEA is computerized approach for anticipating how a part behaves when subjected to forces such as loads, vibrations, heat and etc. FEA shows if a part will fracture, wear or behave the way it was intended. In this report, FEA software “ANSYS” is used to simulate the deformation of a Remotely Operated underwater Vehicle (ROV) panel upon impact by a ROV.
