Summary:To establish a method to access Multigrid Data Access (FTP) database and read the available field output (of sea conditions) in General Regularly distributed Information in Binary form: Edition 2 (GRIB2) format for prediction of ship performances in actual seas based on physical model. Data extraction from the database have also been validated by comparing with buoy data. Subsequently, to analyse the sea conditions for an actual sea route by a vessel in operation.
