Intra-Asia accounting for nearly a third of all air travel with China at the center. China plays an important role in the industry today and is a future global leader for air transport. However, with the development of economic, the improvements of aviation industry and airport infrastructure cannot keep pace with the rapidly growth of economic and aviation demand. The Limited air space and unreasonable airline network layout with caused a lot of problem, such as air traffic congestion, flight delay even flight cancel. Low aviation efficiency may cause waste of fuel and waste of airspace resources. This entry provides a broad overview of how hub airport works and how air traffic for commercial air travel is scheduled and managed throughout the world, especially for air space in Baiyun airport. They serve to provide reader with the fundamental understanding of common problem faced and methodologies applied to resolve. The main contents of this report are as follows: Classified and analysis the function of hub airports and summarize current airline network. Determining air traffic management issue in aspect of unreasonable function and layout of hub airports. Optimize the airline network and scheduled incoming flights and departure flights of in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Presents methodologies and function orientation used in air traffic to improve the transfer efficiency of Baiyun airport. The major causes of air traffic issues in the hub airport on the process of hub airport function realization are described in this entry, such as unreasonable layout of air hub and inefficiency airline network. The technical challenges to air traffic management are outlined, along with some of the promising developments for future modernization.
