Description
Summary:This report investigated the role of membranes in two aspects of the water industry. In the first part of the report, it examined the operating conditions and performance of a newly installed MBR in a water reclamation park in Singapore, and found out that it can achieve ~85% in TOC removal, > 99% in nitrate removal, > 98% in ammonia removal, > 98% in BOD removal and > 99% solids removal. When these results were compared to an ASP system, it was discovered that the MBR system was outperforming the ASP system.
