Summary: | Due to a great number of EVs connected to the distribution network, there will be increasing harmonics occurred. Meanwhile, there will be a lot of predictable issues including the distortion of voltage, the overloading, the stability of voltage, the power quality, and the security of the facilities. In this article distortion of voltage and the security of the facilities will be discussed. In order to conclude the maximum THD values varying with time in a EV charging carpark site, 1000 EVs charging over 24 hours data will be analyzed to find out the probability of the maximum power supplied to the EVs, simulation starts from couple of single charging EVs and then couple of EVs charging at the same time to find out the probability of the maximum THD values, finally the maximum voltage due to distortion will be compared with the IEEE case 33 node end supplied voltage. |
