Developing countries are burdened by deadly infectious diseases including malaria and tuberculosis, which were eradicated in the developed countries about five decades ago. Developing countries are caught in a disease trap: for some diseases there are no effective treatments while for some others, treatments are not affordable by these countries. Further, these countries do not have proper healthcare infrastructure to administer the treatments for many diseases where effective drugs are available. |
