Description
Summary:At the 9th ASEAN Summit, a Bali Concord II was concluded with ASEAN setting its sights on attaining an ASEAN Security Community by the year 2020. This thesis concerns itself with assessing the prospects of ASEAN attaining a pluralistic security community and has found that ASEAN is well poised and pre-disposed for this goal. The basis for this optimism is the finding of this thesis that ASEAN member states shared an identity founded on mutual trust anchored on compatibility of major values and mutual responsiveness.
