Description
Summary:NTRU is a lattice-based public-key cryptosystem developed in 1996 by Hoffstein, Pipher and Silverman. NTRU had gone through several improvements in the last three years, in which some literature reviews have primitive explanations of the parameters used for NTRU encryption. Many attacks try to break the NTRU cryptosystem, most of them work at lower dimensions, and some of the more successful attacks have set the parameters for the security standard of NTRU Encrypt. As such it is important to study these attacks to improve the current security level of NTRU. The goals of this thesis are to first understand the attack algorithms used to break the NTRU cryptosystem, followed by simplifying existing literature by providing necessary context and examples.
