Wei, Ran Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information DRNTU::Social sciences::Communication This report documents the highlights and major learning points during my six months of internship. It also paints a picture of the nature of the work I was involved in during this time, as well as details of specific projects I undertook. Through these six months, I have been involved in projects such as launching of Electronic Newsletters, initiating the Work Singapore portal, and a synergy that will produce a unique Community Portal. I have learnt much about the importance of interpersonal relations at work, the value of making the right judgment at the right time, how to deal with public relations officers when doing interviews, among others. Working at this company essentially involves writing for niche publications, and that has taught me to always consider who I’m writing for, and to take their perspectives and concerns into consideration. While the subject matter of my work may not be too diverse, I also reflected that constraints are bound to be present, and one just has to learn how to work with constraints.
