The development of the food industry was transformed from a traditional handicraft industry to modern manufacturing using machinery and innovation for mass production. The noodle industry was also greatly changed due to the invention of instant noodles. It is popular among Asian as the main staple as it is a cost-effective convenient food. In the fast-paced ever-changing society, people have easy access to the internet that allows them to have infinite information on the importance of health and wellness. However, work and study often compromise people’s time for food especially the cooking process. In essence, convenience and nutritional value in food play a huge role in meal selections in this current society. The purpose of this report is to design and develop a prototype that automates the noodle-cooking process which reducing human interaction and provides convenience to our busy lifestyle. The design will be illustrated using SolidWorks, and parts will be fabricated with the 3D printing method and items readily in the market. An operational prototype was completed, by applying the mechanical, electrical, and computer programming engineering knowledge. The prototype was functionally tested and proven to achieve the desired outcomes. The efficiency and productivity of numerous processes are greatly improved with automation solutions.
