Description
Summary:A joined wing aircraft model B150 and conventional aircraft model D150 was selected to be examined. Fluent was used to conduct Reynolds-Averaged Naiver-Stokes simulation on the aerodynamic characteristics, such as lift and drag under varied angle of attack, under transonic speed. The lift and drag coefficient were compared against different angle of attack ranging from 0°–20° degrees. The B150 model have many advantages over conventionalD150 model, discussion was done on those advantages and a study of numerical analysis on its aerodynamics was done. The comparison made between model B150 joined wing aircraft and D150 conventional aircraft indicates that a joined wing configuration is an alternative from the D150conventional aircraft.
