论东南亚海南族群改善生活与社会地位的过程 = A study about Southeast Asia Hainanese's road to better life and status

从19世纪中叶，海外华人大量移居东南亚，海南人也随着移民浪潮而下南洋。 然而与其他方言族群相比，他们更迟到达侨居国，在人数上面也不及其他方言族群。在多数职业领域已被其他帮占据的情况下，海南人主要从事的职业多属工人阶级，尤其是低等服务业，从而生活艰辛，总体的经济地位低下。为了在东南亚国家如新加坡与马来西亚扎根，使自身与后代过得更好，海南人刻苦学习并且在兴办教育方面给予经济支持。除此之外，他们也通过琼侨社团组织来增加他们的经商网络并且巩固海南人在商业的地位。这些手段最后的发展又如何有效的改善海南人的生活与社会地位呢？From the middle of the 19th century, overseas Chinese migrated to Southeast Asia in large numbers. Hainan people also followed the wave of immigration down the South China Sea. However, compared to other dialect groups, Hainanese arrival at Southeast Asia was late, and they were small in the size as compared to other dialect groups. As most of the occupation areas have been occupied by other gangs, Hainan people mainly engaged in the occupation of the working class, especially the low-level service industry. As such, life was difficult and the overall economic status was low. In order improve the economic and social status in Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore and Malaysia, Hainan people study hard and give financial support in setting up education. In addition, they also utilise Hainanese clans and associations to increase their business network and consolidate the position of Hainan people in business. Will the means that they take help effectively improve the life and social status of Hainan people?
