Having a thorough knowledge of the risk assessment companies or governments would be able to decide if it is worthwhile to invest in the targeted country. A risk assessment report can be utilized by law enforcement agencies to sharpen their combat skills and plan effective defensive plans against acts of terrorism. It is vital that before any infrastructures are built, the pros and cons are weighed against each other. With the main objectivity being profits for any business, a safe sanctuary is needed for any investment to prosper. A risk assessment gives the investors an idea of what kind of disasters, both natural and man-made they could be faced with. I would be focusing on man-made disasters that could have a deleterious effect on the economy, freedom and other aspects of our lives. This report covers the background studies that the author has done throughout the project on the various types of man-made disasters and its effects on the world. The importance of risk assessment will be highlighted through several case studies. Recommendations on how to avoid some of the man-made disasters in the future have also been elaborated at the end of report.
