Description
Summary:Because of the technolisation of Christianity in Singapore as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the main questions that religious leaders had to struggle with in regard to increasingly adopting technolised methods to conduct religion were: 1. How can corporate rituals be done individually at home? 2. Can religion be practiced in places other than religious institutions? 3. Is religion an individual or a communal practice? In this paper, I attempt to discover the relationship between media and Christianity in Singapore by answering the abovementioned questions, while foregrounding the secularisation thesis in Singapore, which operates as a secular state.
