This thesis aims to show how quantum technologies can pose potential harm towards our right to privacy in the new technological age to come, and implores us to contemplate these implications seriously by demonstrating the manifestation of quantum technologies through surveillance. Through the analyzation of privacy and the rights to privacy, this thesis subsequently establishes the ethical outlook of privacy and our rights to provide a clearer picture of what a violation of these would look like. This thesis will discuss the argument for social security, in particular the justification for surveillance and quantum technologies. This thesis will show that the bearing presence of quantum technologies requires more than dedicated regulations in order to fully account for these ethical concerns that it brings about.
