Summary:In Nanyang Technological University, every Final Year Project (FYP) is allocated an examiner, a timeslot, and a room for the examination and grading process of the project. In 2007, FYP Examiner Allocation System (FEAS) was developed to automate all the examiner, timeslot, and room allocation processes in a web interface. After many batches of students improving FEAS, there are still many changes needed to be made to the system, to tackle the existing issues and fulfill new demands from the FYP coordinator. Hence, the purpose of “FYP Student Selection and Examiner Allocation System Improvement Part 1” is to further enhance and maintain the system. Various bug fixes and new features were implemented and described in the report. All the enhancements done resulted in a more functional and accurate system. Additionally, some suggestions for future improvement of the system are also presented in this report.
