Summary: | Dementia, a symptom of several neurodegenerative diseases, is generally characterized by a cognitive decline that results in functional impairment of the brain and a lowered quality of life for sufferers [1]. Approximately 46.8 million people globally live with dementia and the number is projected to treble in the next two decades [2] with life expectancies across countries continuing to increase. In response to the growing need for tailored and centralised healthcare systems, PEAR was introduced to assist caregivers in providing tailored custodial care. This project aims to introduce improvements to the database schema, implement non materialised features and identify areas for further improvement. |
