Description
Summary:This thesis study pattern generation - the generation of temporal sequence of data. The future of a pattern can be predicted and generated by using information on the past of the pattern that has already been generated. Information entropy changes during this process, which imposes thermodynamic costs on generating patterns. This thesis investigate the effect of changing how the patterns are generated on the thermodynamic costs. Furthermore, the thermodynamic costs of generating patterns with quantum pattern generators have been derived and demonstrated to be an improvement over classical pattern generators.
