Summary: | This report documents the reasons behind and the process of building a website for a local non-profit project, ALIVE, which stands for Arts for Livelihoods, using a photojournalistic approach. An overview of the history of ALIVE and its partners is provided in the first part. This is followed by a section dedicated to a literature review of various sources pertaining to documentary photojournalism, which is the genre used putting the various aspects of ALIVE on film, as well as sources on building websites. The third section centres on the critical analysis of a selection of photographs chosen for publication on the website. Finally, there is a discussion of the challenges and ethical issues we faced, suggestions for improving the project, as well as the future considerations. |
