Summary: | Although questions are an essential educational tool, it is a complicated process in manually generating questions that require experience, resources, and training. The implementation of Automatic Question Generation (AQG) methods was established to lessen the expenses of manual labour in generating questions and to continuously provide brand new questions.
This project is to develop an AQG System that can be used for the student’s education (secondary level) by asking the appropriate question to determine their understanding of the subject. System modules such as keyword extractor, question filtering and correction, as well as an importance matcher, will be used to generate important quality questions and an evaluation metric to assess the comparability of generated and students’ questions which will be further discussed in detail. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) application was programmed to allow students to input the passage and questions into the system and for the system output to be displayed. A message will notify the students of any invalid submission. |
