Music album packaging contains the soul fed by music, which provides solace to listeners. Fresh perspectives will include personal stories relating to music, and these are shared by 15 Singaporean listeners age 22-27. The project defines the newfound significance of analogue music packaging in the face of digital, online distribution. In the age of modern technology, physical music albums are facing obsolescence. After records, cassettes and CDs has turned outdated. The forgotten physical connection to music could result in a loss of sentimental value associated with buying the album and listening to songs. Holding an album that my parents loved when they were my age could be unique and meaningful. The lack of physical contact with music can strain our connection with people as well. Creating a tangible music package that could be passed on and delivering a dream-like illustrative narrative about the listener's emotional experiences will be at this project's core. The resulting outcome will promote a sense of connectedness among Singaporeans, who yearn for a fresh and holistic music experience.
