Description
Summary:Air pollution has caused significant negative impacts on the well-being of people, in particular the elderly population. The Elderly are the most susceptible to diseases arising from prolonged exposure to harmful fine particles in the air. Many do not know how to combat air pollution as they are not aware of the quality of air in their homes, while others lack the physical means to take action to improve the quality of air at home. Hence, there is an urgent need to find a solution to increase awareness on this issue, and remove the barriers that are preventing the elderly from taking action to improve air quality in their homes. This project aims to create a system that makes use of home automation to monitor and improve the quality of air in the homes of the elderly.
