Description
Summary:This report details the rationales, deliberations and challenges that the team faced during the 9-month process of crafting Platform 1932, a documentary about the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station in Singapore. Various sections of the report collectively explain the project‟s vision and methods taken in pre-production, production and post-production processes to materialize the documentary short. Through the video, the producers hope to revive and instill public interest in the presently lesser-known landmark among both the older and younger generations respectively. The railway station is a unique architectural icon that has survived yesterday‟s colonial era to continue existing in today‟s globalized world. It also serves as a focal point for groups of distinct individuals whose lives continue to revolve round the historical station. This report will complement the efforts of the documentary to broadcast the survival story of a national landmark through the voices and eyes of her inhabitants and users.
