Description
Summary:‘A Simple World’ is collaborative game created by Ye Dan Ning and Quek Lee Min Elizabeth. The game comes in the form of an installation space, the way the creators feel would better make use of the gallery set up provided by the Final Year Project (FYP) Showcase. The set up consists of a virtual game, projected in a 3m by 3m space and physical controllers. The narrative revolves around ‘Character A’, an ‘ordinary’ being living, whom players can choose to control their decisions. The choices come in the form of coloured cues that are based on 6-7 pre-selected emotions that would hence influence ‘Character A’ to react in game. The game could be described to follow the lines of a visual novel, where each choice of the players would lead to ‘Character A’ reacting differently and incur the consequences accordingly.
