Summary:Serious games have broken into the world of learning, as they are widely used by different sectors to assist in the absorption of knowledge. In this project, the focus is to design and develop a serious game for CZ2006 Software Engineering course, and it aims to enhance students’ learning experience on the course. This game is developed in the form of knowledge checking, which helps students to consolidate the knowledge and gain interest in this subject apart from just entertainment. Unity 2D Game Engine and Microsoft Visual Studio Code are the main software that used in developing the game. The serious game was designed as a tower defense-based game with infinite stages, in order to train students’ knowledge skills within a time limit. A post survey was carried out by students after they played this game, and it was found that most students reported positive feedback about this game. Some suggestions were received as well to improve the overall satisfactory level of the game experience.
