Specifically, he has hitherto not grappled with the messy fallout of the dissolution of his parents’ marriage, his father leaving, and the emotional affection that he didn’t get from his mother as a child. Luis re-lives the moments that led him into a relationship with his married supervisor at work, to face the parental absences driving him, and the uncertainties of moving on.
