Description
Summary:Pillars of Salt is a film about confronting your fears and the uncertainties of moving on. Our protagonist, Luis interrogates the impulses that led him into an affair with his married supervisor at work. The sound design for the film aims to create and reflect the way our protagonist sees, feels and flows with the motion of his world. It is about bringing forward the turbulences of his fears sonically into the reality that he lives in. They swell with intimacy, passion and love and then into a decrescendo of quietness, sadness and regrets, like the ebb and flow of life. My role as the Director of Sound includes both the technical and creative aspect of location sound and audio post-production. It involves decision making and collaborations between the different departments throughout the entire making of the film. This report shall serve as a documentation of my process and workflow towards fulfilling my responsibilities.
