The devastating effects of air pollution on human beings are as concerning as its omnipresence. As a matter of fact, it is recorded that air pollution is the fifth foremost cause of death globally and a staggering 92% of the world population live in cities where the air quality is considered unsafe. However, due to the growing concerns regarding air pollution, there has been an accelerated growth in information volume related to air pollutants. Many countries have decided to improve the monitoring systems of their local air pollution levels. This paper will be covering the analysis of PM2.5 and NO2 concentration levels in Singapore while taking advantage of the growth in information volume. Using statistical analysis models like the ARIMA and VAR models, this project aims to bring about a meaningful analysis of Singapore’s air quality in the recent years.
