| Summary: | As designers and artists, we often see our creations as extensions of ourselves. They represent the way we approach and think about the world around us, becoming not only a part of our portfolio but a metaphor for ourselves as well. In this way, they reflect who we are. In this project, I attempt to reinforce this concept by exploring my own identity and how I can represent it in tangible form through dance, a form of self-expression. Utilising the idea that who I am as a person can be reflected in the way I move as a dancer, I aim to use my movements to inspire and inform a series of abstract sculptures that allow me and viewers to better understand myself. |
