To conduct these weekly assessments in class, large quantities of papers are used in printing out the quiz questions. In addition, as IRAs are pen-paper tests, professors have to take time off their busy schedule to mark the quizzes of all students in his/her tutorial groups, and students have to wait for their professors to finish marking the tests before they can receive their test results. Before COVID-19, as the tutorial rooms' sizes are generally small, students sit close by one another during IRAs. As such, to prevent students from discussing answers, the order of the questions and answer options could be permutated to reduce the possibility of cheating. Hence, the agenda of this project is to develop a mobile application to replace the pen-paper IRA quizzes for Electrical and Electronic Engineering students, as well as to introduce greater degree of fairness in IRA tests by minimizing the chances of students cheating during test sessions, which will improve the reliability of the IRA quizzes used to evaluate students’ understanding of a particular topic.
