On the other hand, Culture is a society practice in habits, races and non-systematical while weddings are an important process of enculturation for two families. So, we can examine the type of “Chineseness: and the identity of Chinese by analysing Chinese weddings. This thesis will investigate the thoughts of 20 to 80 year-old Muar Chinese and use spaces and time to analysis the changes of the “Chineseness” and Chinese identity in 1930’s to 2000’s in Muar.
