Description
Summary:In a fast-paced country like Singapore with city traffic, driving requires a lot of patience and being stuck in a jam so often means that you would have to cater more time for your journey. If you arrive at your destination but is unable to find a parking lot, drivers might have to source for other alternative carparks instead. This will be very daunting for drivers who have important appointments or if they have elderly or physically impaired passengers with them. With increasing petrol costs, time spent driving around looking for a carpark lot or idling while waiting for a parking lot to vacant might slowly add up to a significant amount in your monthly petrol costs. While driving may seem to offer a lot of conveniences or comfort to most people while commuting, especially when we do not have to wait under the hot sun for the next bus/train or lift heavy bags and not getting a seat on the respective public transport, I believe the frustrations that many drivers would encounter is the time spent on finding a carpark lot upon reaching their destination. Therefore, I have decided to come up with an application, DriversPass, where real-time lots availability could be displayed with simply just a tap on the smartphone. This not only reduces congestion but also aids in pre-planning of your journey to make it the most time-efficient especially with the increasing number of cars we have here in Singapore.
