Job market is constantly evolving with creation and destruction of occupations happening throughout different times in history. To keep up with this continuously changing job market, a career guidance platform, called Careerpedia was designed and developed to support individuals in charting out their whole career journey. Careerpedia aims to provide relevant information for individuals to make informed career choices and recommend useful courses at every career juncture to upskill themselves. This project will be built on a popular technology stack called MERN, with React.js as the frontend technology, Express on Node.js as the backend technology and MongoDB as the database management system. Project software design and implementation will be discussed and explained in subsequent chapters. Some highlights of the features implemented include career-tailored course recommendations, an interactive career pathway graphs which are rendered by Vis.js (data visualization library), and also a chatbot powered by Google DialogFlow to answer any career questions. All the data supporting these features are maintained and managed through a user-friendly administrator interface.
