Description
Summary:Direct Current (DC) power supply has become an integral part of our lives. Whether in homes, schools, or workplaces, our daily routines rely heavily on various types of electronic equipment running on DC voltage. Batteries are a main source of DC power supply when it comes to delivering constant DC voltage to these electronic devices. DC Bench Power Supply is also another type of DC power supply. More than just powering the devices, the DC Bench Power Supply allows the users to adjust the voltage to their desired value, depending on the project they are working on. However, not only does the DC Bench Power Supply requires an AC source (e.g., electrical outlet) to work, it contains a transformer and associated filters, making the overall size and weight of the Power Supply increase significantly. Hence, a DC-to-DC boost converter is implemented to supply high output voltage with a minimal input voltage. The input voltage of the boost converter is supplied by the low-voltage batteries (e.g., 1.5 V battery cells) and will be designed to generate a DC output voltage with variable magnitudes (e.g., 3 – 30 V). This will not only eliminate the use of additional batteries to provide the same output voltage, but it also allows the users to charge their electronic devices anytime, anywhere without the need to connect to an electrical outlet. The full integration of the output voltage control can be controlled remotely via the smart technology of Bluetooth connection. This allows the users to control the output voltage wirelessly.
